Maldives is a well-marketed global destination and the ever-increasing arrival of tourists is an ample proof to that. Today Maldives got 150 resorts (23,677 beds) and about 112 islands and lagoons at different stages of development. The tourist arrivals had reached over 1.1 million by the end of 2013 and are expected to hit 1.5 million by end of 2015. The promising rate of growth in arrivals proves vibrancy of the industry and the numerous opportunities that are waiting to be explored.
